SVIC’s resident author, Dr. Bakri Musa, has released a new book titled ‘Towards A Competitive Malaysia: Challenges in the Twenty-First Century’. This title marks a special collaboration with a fellow SVIC member, Susanah Ishak. Dr. Musa developed his vision for the front cover and asked Susanah, an up and coming graphic designer, to embellish the idea. To view a larger image of the cover, please click here.

Visiting from Oregon December 10, 2006

On Friday, December 8, we received a phone call from Brother Mikael that we would have a visitor to our center for the Jumaah prayers. After visiting the Alhambra Productions bookstore, Brother Anwar asked for directions to an Islamic center or masjid to pray. Since he was on his way to Los Angeles, Brother Mikael suggested SVIC. Brother Anwar was in town from Oregon. Our community welcomed him and was glad to have such a wonderful visitor.
